Shame as it was a far more powerful tool for that particular task. HP Z 3. Mainly delivered remotely via zoom but onsite possible. To the best of my knowledge, that feature was introduced in MC 8. Yes it was added for making grouped or multicam clips but not for auto syncing master clips to audio.
Once I make it a grouped clip then I can no longer group multiple grouped clips into a 2, 3, 4 etc. PluralEyes is a great tool, but they abandoned support for Media Composer in v3. Lots and lots of folks are doing repetative tasks making sync maps and then creating sync clips. And a few additional tools and changes would make it much more efficient. T E pat vet-training. All Cameras have Reference Audio so Syncing by Audio Waveform would stop me from wanting to slit my throat and wrists.

Sync by inpoints uncheck "keep audio on clip with video" check "include audio from audio only tracks" Choose A3 to A5 3 mics i need Choose " Create Group Clip instad of sub clip" The result is a group clip but with all the audio tracks from the audio only file and a total of 8 tracks with some audio from one of the video clips.

You will see the audio waveforms in the timeline now!! To enlarge the timeline use the following combo of keys "command L" to enlarge "command K" to make smaller. Turn on "Caps Lock" to scrub audio but you will see the slate strike in the timeline scrub your timeline indicator till you hear it click loudly using your arrow keys.
Choose "Inpoints" You can choose to keep audio on clips with video up to 16 tracks Same choices for audio only clips you can choose what tracks you wanna include up to 16 tracks Select "OK".
